"And Jesus increased his wisdom." Luke 2
Here the child reads a scroll. Mary sits near, distaff in hand. The perspective of this window is unusual. From the home, with its recessed window and its open doorway, one sees the trees against the darkening sky, broken by the stars. Mary is seated on a bench in the doorway. Jesus stands near the window to catch the fading light of the day. A lovely accessory to this scene is the pottery jar of roses set on the floor at the left.

The MSGC is a constantly evolving database. Not all the data that has been collected by volunteers has been sorted and entered. Not every building has been completely documented.
All images in the Index are either born-digital photographs of windows or buildings or are scans of slides, prints, or other published sources. These images have been provided by volunteers and the quality of the material varies widely.
